Demonic Machines 6149 Demonic Overdrive Guitar Effect Pedal
The 6149 is the truly demonic overdrive pedal named for the crossroads of highways 61 and 49, where Robert Johnson infamously sold his soul to the Devil in exchange for the ability to play the guitar.
Internal DIP switches give you 1,024 different options for clipping, from germanium diodes, MOSFETs, assorted silicon, LEDs, to all combinations of the aforementioned. You can give your sound a completely unique clipping flavor. Couple this with a 3-band EQ and you have one of the most shapeable overdrives on the market!
The 6149 Demonic Overdrive has six controls on its face:
- LEVEL controls the overall volume of the overdrive pedal.
- DIRT controls gain. Turn it all the way to the left for a clean boost, or dial in your preferred level of crunch.
- MOJO is your presence control. DO NOT turn it higher than your own personal Mojo can handle.
- A 3-band EQ, allowing you to boost or cut your highs, mids, and lows.
Additionally, there are two sets of six internal DIP switches. The first five in each set control which diodes are in the 6149’s overdrive’s feedback loop. Simply flip the corresponding switch to the ‘OFF’ (down) position. The sixth switch opens or closes the diode feedback loop. Turning it to the ‘OFF’ position bypasses all clipping diodes and gives you a pure saturated tone.
