This is from a run made in 2008, and has become rather hard to find. The Gibson X-Plorer Studio features a thin satin nitrocellulose finish that develops a natural, worn-in character over time and increased "open-ness" of the guitar. This guitar is crafted from solid mahogany with a sharp angular, offset body and produces warm, rich tones. The comfortable mahogany neck comes with a '50s rounded profile which offers a thicker comfy feel in the hands.
It is packed with a powerful set of humbuckers; a 490R at the neck and 498T at the bridge. These pickups are perfect for any playing style and offers a versatile range of tones. However, it should be noted that these truly excel with distorted settings. So whether its soaring leads or heavy riffage this is great guitar to have in hand. Take full control of your sounds with individual volume controls for each pickup and a Master tone control with a 3-way selector.
This X-Plorer Studio is equipped with great hardware. You have a stopbar tailpiece, tune-o-matic bridge, offset black pickguard, and Grover six-in-line tuners.
This guitar is in good condition - not mint by an means. There are marks on the body and the points are worn. This one is for the rocker that will add there own aging to the guitar. As an added bonus, it comes with hardshell case. The techs in our shop have set it up to play perfectly and it's ready to go.
