Pre-Owned 2018 PRS S2 Standard 24 Satin Cherry With Gig Bag
It's time to experience the standard of good tones with this PRS S2 Standard 24 Satin in the exquisitely tasty Cherry finish. This model is the evolution of the original PRS Standard which was introduced in 1987. It features PRS's impeccable construction and quality tonewoods and electronics, is super comfortable to play, and of course sounds amazing.
This stripped-down PRS is an American-made S2 Stnadard 24, manufactured in 2018 at the PRS facility in Stevensville, Maryland. It features a resonant double-cut solid mahogany body (Asymmetrical Bevel Carve) that is light and easy to keep strapped on all night. Positioned as a gig-ready workhorse, it trades the flashy figured maple tops of the Core line for a raw, all-mahogany build and an ultra-thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish.
The Pattern Regular profile on the set mahogany neck is super comfortable to play, and with a 10" radius on the rosewood fretboard you'll be able to bend without the fear of fretting out. They kept it simple with dot inlays (instead of birds) - this is not the fancy PRS that some opt for. But that doesn't mean it's not beautiful - it still is, with the transparent Cherry finish that showcases the wood grain.
Dual PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers mounted directly to the pickguard give you thick, full tone that works well for riffing, chording and solo lead playing. You get a master volume plus a master tone control with a push/pull coil-split function, as well as a 3-way blade pickup switch. There are a variety of tones you can pull out of this guitar.
Equipped with a PRS Patented Molded Tremolo and PRS Low-Mass Locking Tuners, you'll be able to get expressive while staying in tune. Also, if you're looking for a lightweight guitar, this is a good call - it's just 7.1 lbs.
On stage or in the studio, the S2 Standard 24 does the trick. This one came to us with some character added in the form of honest player wear (see photos). The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop and is ready go, complete with a gig bag.
