For Clapton fans and more, we have a very special guitar, this Martin 000-42M Eric Clapton acoustic. This is an amazing pre-war spec that Martin designed with Eric Clapton's specifications. It's a rare one, as twere only 250 of these built - this particular one is lucky number 7!
The guitar is a 000 body size with a impressive selection of tonewoods with a Carpathian Spruce top and Madagascar rosewood back and sides. This resonant features pre-war scalloped bracing which gives you excellent tone and sustain, with warmth and a balanced response. You get a mahogany neck with a soft "V" neck profile that brings you a historic neck shape but gives you a even more comfortable feel. The neck has an ebony fingerboard with a 24.9" scale length with a wide 1.76" nut width which is perfect for fingerstyle or flatpicking guitar playing styles.
If you like abalone, you're in luck. The body and neck feature exceptionally beautiful abalone binding. Continuing with the stylistic choice, the body has the abalone binding along the top and bordering the fingerboard on the top and the rosette. The neck has abalone inlay fret markers and a Eric Clapton signature at the 20th fret. The guitar has even abalone inlays on the bridge pins. To top it off, the headstock has an intricate ornate abalone inlay.
The headstock, neck, and tuning pegs features vintage-style ivoroid. You get incredible vintage-style tuners, an ebony bridge, and vintage-tint top.
This guitar is exemplary of why Martin is one of the most prominent acoustic builders of all time. From build quality to sound, with intricate design elements, this Eric Clapton signature acoustic guitar is something special.
