Fender debuted the American Standard Series in 1988, and ever since then, it has been the "flagship" series for the brand. It's gone through many iterations and even changed names, but even today, as it's evolved into the American Professional II, this line of guitars has been Fender's best seller. It's no wonder why - it's Fender's take on classic models with a few modern appointments.
Every now and then, a fine specimen walks in the door and catches everyone's eyes - that's the case with this one. It's a 1999 American Standard Telecaster that appears to have never been played since it was bought. It's not just in excellent condition; it's like a time capsule. The original paperwork and case candy is included. Even the plastic was still on the pickguard! (we removed it, as it had started to peel and honestly didn't look good)
This Tele has an alder body, maple neck with a C shape profile and 9.5" radius, classic vintage-style single coil Tele pickups, and vibrant 3-Tone Sunburst finish. Everything on it is original, and the original case is included. The guitar has been vetted and setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.
1999 was the last year of the American Standard, before it switched over to the American Series, before coming back in 2008. This is one of the last made, and a nice little gem to find in like new condition. It's quite the score, and a great deal. Get it now before it's gone!
