Used 2024 Knaggs Influence Sheyenne Tobacco Burst With OHSC
For those that favor exquisite guitars with the highest build quality, a Knaggs like this will definitely be of interest. The brand has become well known for its excellent craftsmanship, easy playability and top-notch tone. Every time we come across one, we're blown away. We just took in this Knaggs Influence Sheyenne, and it's truly amazing.
Knaggs only made the Sheyenne model for a short time - only about 100 exist. You'll rarely see one, especially as nice as this.
Designed by luthier Joe Knaggs, it features a 24.75" scale length, a carved maple top/back, and a mahogany neck with Brazilian rosewood fretboard. If you want the feel of butter, this guitar has it. The combination of woods and these amazing pickups results in a supreme sounding instrument. Instead of a center block it only has a block on the bridge/tailpiece area. Some would say that the Sheyanne is a build that is similar to a PRS 594 Hollowbody but with the size of a Gibson ES-335 (16" at the lower bout). Yet it's just 6.5 lbs. It's a set neck guitar, designed for increased string vibration and sustain.
Even unplugged, this instrument will stand out - the hollow body and dual f-holes create a rich, acoustically vibrant resonance. But it's really something else when plugged in, thanks to the Tone Specific 57/61 pickups. A premium guitar like the Sheyenne deserves a premium pickup set, and that's what it has. On its own, this set is $959. Designed as a mix of the best sounds from 1957 to 1961, you get a thick, rich tone full of warmth, sustain, and clarity. Using vintage materials and an extreme dedication to making the best humbuckers out there, Tone Specific nailed the PAF tone perfectly. They can go from soft and sweet to aggressive and heavy as soon as you need it. If you want touch sensitive pickups that respond instantly to your playing, this is a great way to go. As soon as we plugged the guitar in we started thinking it was the only way to go!
This amazing instrument is in excellent shape. You'll see that there is a little factory aging on the pickups and hardware, but no aging of the finish though. The previous owner informed us that the knobs were swapped to ones that match better (the original were black, and are included in the case). Also, the bridge was upgraded to a Faber ABR-1 with brass saddles (the original stock Gotoh bridge had zinc saddles, and is also included in the case). Speaking of the case, the original is included, as well as all of the original paperwork. Plus, a Knaggs pen!
