Used Taylor Custom Grand Auditorium Sinker Redwood And Macassar Ebony with OHSC

 

We've had a lot of amazing Taylor guitars here but this one stands out as a truly special one.  Visually, it's stunning.  Most importantly, the playability and sound are out of this world.  A guitar like this is a one of a kind and hard to match. 

Taylor Guitars is synonymous with comfort when it comes to playability, and a radius armrest built with beautiful ebony is also found on the body of this guitar.  Be sure to zoom in on the photos to see the intricate details of the craftsmanship - it's rather mind blowing.  The back & sides are Macassary (striped Ebony), formed from a beautifully matched spread with seriously impressive figuring.  The Sinker Redwood top was hand-selected for the his guitar, and equally as stunning. 

It's not just about looks though: the combination of these woods results in incredible tone.  This Grand Auditorium quite full & powerful, without being too bass driven, and just the right amount of high-end shimmer.  It's very balanced across the tonal spectrum.  Redwood boasts a high volume ceiling with much of cedar’s warmth and touch sensitivity.  It's really a sonically rich tonewood, and everytime we get a guitar with Redwood, we're reminded how much we love it as a choice for a top.  This pairs up well with the Ebony back & sides, which tends to bring in more of the crispness and attack that really reacts well to picking.  Combined, these woods result in a guitar with it's own unique sound, and versatile enough for a wide variety of styles.

Other features include a gorgeous Abalone rosette and bound soundhole, Mother of Pearl logo on the headstock, high quality Gotoh tuners, and Taylors own Expression 2 electronics for the best representation of the guitar when plugged in.

This previously owned Custom Grand Auditorium was crafted in 2014, and barely played - it's in tip-top shape, truly excellent.  The original hardshell case is included.  It's been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop.  For anyone that is a fan of Taylor and wants something special, this is a great find.
